National Instruments has been investing in a groundbreaking new suite of software. This unprecedented development brings us an amazing new LabVIEW environment, LabVIEW NXG. As the next generation of LabVIEW, LabVIEW NXG contains many new and innovative features to address the future challenges of the scientific and embedded engineer!
Since 2013, Richard Thomas has been working closely with National Instruments to help shape the new LabVIEW NXG development environment. We're proud to have been a part of the evolution of this amazing new software product and, with the knowledge and experience of the platform that we've gained, are uniquely able to offer our customers LabVIEW NXG development and migration services.
What does this mean for LabVIEW 2017?
LabVIEW will continue to be released for the foreseeable future alongside LabVIEW NXG versions. So don't worry if you're invested in the LabVIEW 2017 platform, there will continued support and development for many years to come.
Eventually, as the user base increases over time with adoption, National Instruments will shift its focus towards LabVIEW NXG for the future. At that point in the future NI will only recommend one, LabVIEW NXG-based version
Migration to LabVIEW NXG
Migration to LabVIEW NXG can be achieved through import tools available within the new environment for converting your existing LabVIEW projects. However, things are not exactly the same, so conversion isn't always 100% automatic. And that's where we can help!
If you have concerns about migrating your code base, or simply want to outsource the work, then we can reduce your risk and conduct a feasibility study for you. With our expertise we can complete any migration holes, and take advantage of new developments, such as the improved graphical front panel interfaces, to improve your software for you. Simple enquire with us and we'll talk you through the services we can offer!
